Co-packing aerosols

An aerosol is a suspension of fine solid particles or liquid droplets in air or another gas, used in variety of packaging, from food industry, cosmetics, medical to pharmaceuticals. It is widely spread all over the world for a vast variety of products packed in aerosol bottles. Co-packing companies are global leaders and are setting the standard in contract aerosol packaging. These companies are specialized in private label and custom contract aerosol packaging for large companies, as well as for small entrepreneurs, from Fortune 500 companies to short-run startups. They assist their clients with all phases of product development, including research and development, regulatory support, packaging, and distribution.

Environmental concern

Aerosol products are not harmful to the earth's ozone layer. In 1970s, scientists discovered possible link between some chemicals used in aerosols, CFCs and the destruction of the upper ozone, aerosol manufacturers began to discontinue the use of them. In 1978, the US banned the use of CFCs. A recent survey concluded that 7 out of 10 people still thought the chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) were still used in aerosol products. In fact, they do NOT contain these chemicals. Empty aerosol cans are recyclable and cans are made of 25% recycled material. By having their long product shelf life and minimum spillage, and as the matter of fact, they reduce waste. Also, being tamper-resistant and tamper-evident, aerosol products have the added benefit of safety.

The benefits of aerosols products

First of all, aerosols are one of the safest packaging there are. They are hermetically sealed, so their contents can't leak or spill, as well as they are tamper-resistant and tamper-evident. Moreover, aerosols are highly effective as they deliver the right amount of product where it is needed. Waste and spillage is immensely reduced.
When aerosols are used as personal hygiene products, or sanitizers, it is important to mention that using aerosols is very clean and sanitary. From the aerosol packaging, content can be applied without contact and that prevents any product contamination. This type of packaging is also cost-effective as the manufacturer controls the particle size, the spray pattern, the volume dispensed per second and the concentration of the spray for extreme effectiveness. Aerosol packaging brings products that would be unavailable otherwise to the consumer market, from shaving cream and long-distance spray insecticides to asthma inhalers and other medical products required for health preservation.
